Bota Group is the registered trade name (DBA) of Bota Consulting Group Inc., a Delaware corporation authorized to conduct business in New York. In this notice, “Bota Group,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Bota Consulting Group Inc. d/b/a Bota Group.
This Candidate Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information of candidates and applicants during our recruiting and placement process. It supplements our general Privacy Policy, which also applies to you.
When you apply or are sourced by our team, we review your information, may contact you to learn more, and, if there is a suitable opportunity, present your profile to a client. Clients make their own evaluation and selection decisions. Being presented to a client does not guarantee an interview, engagement, or placement.
To match you with opportunities, we share relevant candidate information with clients who are considering you for a role or engagement. We share only what is reasonably necessary for that purpose, and clients are expected to handle your information confidentially and consistent with applicable law.
Background checks are not conducted for every candidate. Where a specific placement or client requires one, we will conduct it only with your consent, through reputable third-party vendors, and consistent with applicable law. Additional detail is provided in our Background Screening Notice.
We operate in the United States, Albania, and Kosovo, and we expect to expand to additional locations, including Montenegro. As part of the recruiting and placement process, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in these locations, as well as in other countries where our service providers operate or where the clients considering you are located.
Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to protect it consistent with this notice, our Privacy Policy, and applicable law, including appropriate contractual safeguards. Additional detail is provided in our International Data Transfer Notice.
We retain candidate information for as long as needed to consider you for current and future opportunities and to meet our legal and contractual obligations. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so consistent with applicable law and any obligations that require us to retain certain records. Our retention practices are described in our Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
To the extent applicable law, including the GDPR, Albanian data protection law, and United States state privacy laws, grants them, you may have the right to:
Where we rely on your consent to process your information, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@botaconsultinggroup.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place, and it may mean we can no longer consider you for opportunities.
Hiring and placement decisions are made by people, not by automated systems. We may use artificial intelligence tools to help organize and review applications, but we do not use them to automatically reject or select candidates without human review. See our AI Transparency Notice for more detail.
